Matt Dooley grabs fourth checkered flag of 2024 at Penton Raceway

After unfortunately losing the Crate Racin' USA events at East Bay to Mother Nature, Matt Dooley stuck close to home and competed at Penton (Ala.) Raceway for a weekly event.

Qualifying second-fastest in a talented group of 604 Late Model racers, Dooley started the 25-lap main event from the outside pole and led every lap en route to his third 604 Late Model victory of the season and fourth overall.

The following night, Dooley made another 604 Late Model start at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) and recorded a runner-up finish to Zach Leonhardi.
