Top-10 outing in Powell Family Memorial at All-Tech Raceway
With a high-profile weekend on tap, Matt Dooley unloaded his Barry Copeland-owned No. 18 machine at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Friday afternoon for night one of the 28th-annual Powell Family Memorial.
With an enormous 85-car field on the grounds, Dooley timed in second-fastest in his group before finishing fourth in his heat race, two spots out of a transfer.
Needing a Top-2 finish in his B-Main to make Saturday's $28,000-to-win finale, Matt charged to victory in his last chance race to transfer to the main event. In the 67-lap feature, Dooley slowly moved forward 10 positions from his 20th-place starting spot to finish inside the Top-10 in 10th.
