Dooley shakes bad luck for Zach Jones Memorial victory at Senoia Raceway
After a couple weeks of mechanical issues, Matt Dooley returned to weekly competition at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon behind the wheel of the Barry Copeland-owned No. 18 machine for the Zach Jones Memorial.
Among 18 CRUSA Late Models, Dooley timed in eighth-quickest which placed him on the fourth-row for the feature. Quickly moving through the field in the 20-lap main event, Matt powered around leader Cade Brookshire on lap 7 and paced the field for the remaining 13 laps to collect the checkered flag. He outran Logan Palmer, Ricky Culpepper, Carson Ruark, and Marty Lunsford who completed the Top-5.
