Dooley competes in Golden Hornet 50 at Talladega Short Track
Making a surprise visit to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon, Matt Dooley entered his No. 39 machine into Crate Racin' USA competition.
In a stacked 47-car field, Dooley finished fifth in his heat race before nabbing the final A-Main transfer spot in his consolation race. For the $10,000-to-win Golden Hornet 50, Matt was an early retiree and was scored 23rd in the final rundown.
